From Hockey Winnipeg:
I have been inundated with questions about the new directive from Dr. Roussin and Manitoba Health that is set to take effect on Monday. I have spoken to Peter Woods at Hockey Manitoba who is following up with the Province to get a definitive answer regarding sanctioned hockey programs. I should have that information at some point today and I will share it with you all as soon as I can.
For the time being, sanctioned hockey activities are good to continue. It is important that we are adhering to the guidelines this weekend. Masks must be worn at all times. Pre-screening is essential. Players must adhere to the guidelines of arrival and departure times. Sanitization and distancing practices are vital. Players need to be arriving with as much equipment on as possible to limit time in the dressing rooms. 1 parent per participant should be the standard.
As soon as I have additional information from Hockey Manitoba regarding the impact of this directive I will pass it on to all of you.
