Our Mission

The mission of Winnipeg East Female Hockey in conjunction with the St. Boniface Minor Hockey Association and the Transcona Minor Hockey Association is to foster an environment of learning and development for all players in our association, both on and off the ice, in a safe and responsible manner.

  1. Introduce and provide essential hockey programs for young female athletes ages 5-17.

  2. Create an opportunity for continued participation in hockey and the development of hockey skills and knowledge.

  3. Create a program that allows our young female athletes the opportunity to acquire life skills and meet friends for life.

Lake of the Woods Tournament

Write up from U9 A2 Purple:

Our girls went to Kenora a couple of weekends ago to compete against the boys in the Lake of the Woods U9 Tournament. Playing in Ontario brought on a few slight rule changes that made it fast-paced and our Stars were very quick to adapt. Lighter pucks and smaller nets weren't enough to stop us from scoring several nice goals. Off-ice was like a 48-hour sleepover with bowling, dance routines, taking goofy videos, a mini stick tournament, and a great meal from Lake of the Woods Brewing Co. Needless to say we made memories to last a lifetime. After 4 hard-fought games in Kenora & Keewatin, we got medals and began the journey back to Winnipeg to bring our newly elevated skills to the home rink!

The U11A1 Winnipeg East Stars played in The Tournament of Champions this past weekend in Brandon. The girls went undefeated and won the final in a shootout against the Regina Rebels!

Over the weekend, our U11 A1 Stars participated in the Female Challenge Tournament in Regina.  They had a fantastic tournament and took home the Gold. Congrats to everyone for their hard work and dedication. They also showed outstanding leadership by donating food to the Regina Foodbank!
