2019 JUNIOR BISON HOCKEY FALL BREAKFAST CLUB

The Junior Bison Hockey Breakfast Clubs provide additional skill development opportunities through quality drills for players prior to their school day.  This Breakfast Club will provide the opportunity for players to get extra ice in a structured but creative setting with players using a variety or drills specific to each players needs.  The program is designed to be inclusive to all players interested in improving their skills and having fun. Our coach to player ratio is set at 1:8 in order to ensure adequate feedback and skill development at all times.

This program is open to both male and female hockey players.

This SKILL DEVELOPMENT based program will be led by  University of Manitoba Women's Hockey Assistant Coach Sean Fisher and his team of assistants

Born in Belleville, Ontario, Sean played his minor hockey in the Stirling Blues and Quinte Red Devils programs.  He began his coaching career in 2004-2005 with the Sudbury Wolves AAA Bantam program and continued with the Nickel City Midget AAA program while attending Laurentian University (’09).  Upon graduation Sean began coaching women’s hockey spending 3 years with the Greater Kingston Ice Wolves.  A move to Winnipeg in 2012 lead to coaching opportunities at both the club and high school level before joining the University of Manitoba Bison Women’s Hockey team in 2014.

With a strong background in skill development having worked for Ron Davidson’s Ultraskills Hockey (2004-2005), Ottawa Senators Minor Hockey (2005-2007), Hockey Opportunity Camp as a Head Instructor (2008-2010), and with Canlan Ice Sports as the Head of Athlete Development (2012-2017) it was a natural fit for Sean take on the role of Skill Development coach with the Bisons.

Over 4 years as an assistant coach with the Bison Women’s team Sean was heavily involved in recruiting, practice planning, special teams and video – highlighted by a 2017-18 CanadaWest conference championship and the 2018 National Championship.
